Editing Widgets in Your Footer in WordPress
You can simply go to the Appearance » Widgets page and add a Text, Image, or Gallery widget to your footer widget area. To add a widget, simply drag and drop it into a footer area. If you need more help, then see our article on how to add and use widgets in WordPress.
Go to Appearance –> Editor. Click on Editor, and you will see a list of theme files on the right-hand side. Select Theme Footer or footer. php, that will display the coding lines next to it.
First, log in to your WordPress admin at www. (your site).com/wp-admin/. Once you’re logged in, click “Appearance”, then “Widgets”. From here, you will see all the widgets used with your theme including widgets for sidebars, page elements, and the website footer.
Edit header options for my WordPress site

Add widgets to Today View:
- Swipe left from the Home Screen in order to access the Today View.

- Swipe left or right to select your preferred widget size.
- Tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
Depending on what theme you are using, you may have the option to remove or edit the powered by WordPress footer directly in your theme customizer.
- Go to Appearance > Customize on the WordPress dashboard.
- Click Footer > Bottom Bar.
- You can either Disable Footer Credits or put your own text in Edit Footer Credit.
For example: You can change the Header background color from Customize > Header > Header > Header Background Color. To change the topbar Color go to Customize > Header > Topbar. To change the Footer Color go to Customize > Footer > Footer Style.
In the WordPress admin panel, click Appearance > Customize. To remove the header, click Header > Header layout and for the Layout setting select None. To remove the footer, click Footer > Footer layout and for the Layout setting select None.
